(This is the Transfusions afterword or something like that. If you're new here, hit the "first" link above to go to the beginning of the webcomic)

That's it, folks. That's the webcomic! Happy 15 Anniversary!

Whether you've been reading it since I posted page 1 on SmackJeeves in 2010 or you just found it this year, or you reach here some time in the future,

thank you for reading Transfusions! <3

I hope you enjoyed it. I mean, you made it to here, you read all 1217 pages (plus the extras), so... I hope you liked the ending! I didn't want it to feel FINAL, I didn't want it to feel like a goodbye. I want it to feel hopeful and inspiring, I want you, the reader, to be able to imagine what will happen next in the (undead, eternal) lives of Joa and Dylan. You can have headcanons and keep them to yourself, or share them with someone! Write a fanfic, or several! I would love to keep the story going in the imaginations of you, the readers.

Will Joa and Dylan be like any other vampire, needing to find a blood supply regularly? Or did the Hunters Blood change them? Do they not need blood at all? Maybe they just keep drinking eachother's blood forever, like a weird recycling system??? Can they withstand sunlight?

Even I don't know, to be honest. When I was planning the ending I couldn't decide between a harsh or a happy future, so I left it open, and I haven't really thought about it. I think they will travel, maybe find a house or an apartment somewhere abroad, and Mark will live closeby (far enough so that he doesn't have to listen to them boning, lmao). But I do want Mark and Joa to have eachother again, as besties. (I hate it when in stories two people reunite and a moment later the other is like "anyway, I gotta do my own thing and leave, bye!" lol)

There probably are some parts of the plot that you hoped I had dived deeper in this webcomic, some characters that you would've loved to read more about. And you probably would've loved for this comic to continue for another 500 pages haha! As much as I love this comic and these characters, I feel like I've spent enough time with them, and I feel like I want to do something else now. Change things up, you know? I've been dedicating my Sundays to Transfusions for 15 years. (Some of you remember my livestreams on Sundays when I used to draw the pages live and then publish them on the website afterwards. And I still remember some familiar usernames from there, and the chats we had.) Anyway, I rather have a comic that is complete even though lacking than trying to fill every single hole in the story and burn myself out and leave the comic incomplete. I'm sure you understand.
(The previous page is dedicated for Q&A though, leave a comment there if you have questions about the comic, and I will try to answer.)

That said... I have some plans.

Plans regarding Transfusions:
The top question I still get is: will I make Transfusions into a physical comic? The answer is no.
I am a team of 1, with very limited amount of energy and resources. Transfusions is 1200+ pages long, that's a loooong ass comic to put into physical format. Also, I live in Finland, most of my audience is across the ocean, imagine the shipping costs for a comic that massive! I can't even run a kickstarter from here! Now, if a publisher would want to do this all for me and print a webcomic dinosaur with vampire smut in it, I would eagerly consider.

I am planning to edit the older pages, fix some issues and finish the pages that were left unfinished, and compile the comic into pdf(s) and sell it, not yet 100% sure where... *points at Itch(.)io and the current issue with payment processors and cencorship* but I'll figure it out eventually. I am thinking of posting about this process on Patreon and maybe doing some livestreaming again.... I recommend following me on Patreon, and I'll try to do some newsletter updates there more!

I have also ideas for several short, one-shot smut comics of Joa and Dylan that didn't really fit in the webcomic. I plan to start posting and updating those on Patreon later this year and also sell them as pdf on, uhm, well.... *points at Itch situation again* We'll see!

Plans regarding the next webcomic:

I still have The Witch Door that I continue to update but I am also working on my next webcomic, which will be about the characters from my Roommate zine, Mikael and Kai. I have revealed some plans to my Sketchbook Diary Patrons. This project is still very much a work in progress and I'm not sure when I will be ready to start it. It might be on tandem with TWD, or might be after I've finished TWD. But now that I've finished Transfusions I will hopefully have more time to plan this new story out! I will continue sharing my plans on Patreon whenever things move forward.

How to keep updated?
- Follow me on Patreon. It's free, and I will post there every now and then when I have something to actually update, (so now spamming).
If you want and are able to, subscribe to my Sketchbook Diary tier which is 1€/$1.50 per month, to get to see what I'm working on. It also helps me a ton now that the Transfusions Early Access tier is inactive!
- Follow me on Bluesky / Tumblr. Bsky I'm most active on, and I use Tumblr daily as well. I am on Instagram too but I honestly forget to open the app in several days...
- Hop on to the discord server dedicated to the readers of Transfusions and The Witch Door. It's R18 mainly because Transfusions is R18 and I am also turning 38 soon and I just want it to be a space for adults. It's a very chill server where we share memes and recipes and photos or our creations and pets, and of course talk about comics etc. (If the invite link expires just ask a new one in the comments and I will send one!)
- You can also keep an eye on my website. I don't update it a lot, but I'll definitely update when I have new comics/stuff to share :)

Umm, yeah. Anyway, thank you for being here, I appreciate you for taking the time to read my comic. I appreciate all the comments you all left here, even though I didn't reply to them all. I read every single one. In the moments of self-doubt they have given me purpose and kept me going. It's always nice to hear from you guys.

Remember to use #transfusionscomic on social media if you want to share anything about it there! :)

I appreciate you all so much! I'll see you around, take care!

<3 Anni

ps. Make sure you bookmark the Transfusions chapter directory if you ever want to hop back to a certain chapter and refresh your memory. I have now updated the link to the Epilogue as well.

Also, I am not a huge OC playlist type of a person but I have collected a few songs here and there and made them into a playlist, here's a link to it on Youtube. (you can also find it on Shitify as "Transfusions comic")
